9 Physical Traits of the Prophet ﷺ

1. He was the most beautiful
   “Never have I seen anyone more handsome than Allah’s Apostle ﷺ.”(Muslim)
2. His body was softer than silk
   I never touched brocade or silk and found it as soft as the body of Allah’s Messenger ﷺ (Muslim)
3. His complexion was white
   I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. I asked: How did you see him? He said: He was white, good-looking (Abu Dawud)
4. His height
   Allah’s Messenger ﷺ was of medium height, having broad shoulders (Muslim)
5. His hands and feet
   Narrated ‘Ali: “… his hands and feet were thick, his head was large, he was big-boned.” (Tirmidhi)
6. He had some white hair
   I saw the Prophet ﷺ and saw some white hair below his lower lip above the chin. (Bukhari)
7. His hair hung below his ears
   … with his hair hanging down on the lobes of his ears. (Muslim)
8. His face was as bright as the moon
   “Was the face of the Prophet (as bright) as a sword?” He said, “No, but (as bright) as a moon.” (Bukhari)
9. His scent was musk
   I never smelt ambergris or musk as fragrant as the fragrance of the body of Allah’s Messenger ﷺ (Muslim)
