- Do not bore the listener. The Prophet ﷺ used to talk so clearly that if somebody wanted to count the number of his words, he could do so. (Bukhari)
- Repeat, repeat, repeat. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would repeat a statement three times so that it could be understood. (Tirmidhi)
- An oath for emphasis. “When the Prophet ﷺ took an oath he would say: ‘By the One in Whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad.” (Ibn Majah)
- He ﷺ used diagrams. The Prophet ﷺ drew a few lines and said, “This is man’s hope, and this is the instant of his death, and while he is in this state of hope, the nearer line (death) comes to Him.” (Bukhari)
